Vanessa Frederick Photography

A Legacy of Visual Storytelling

Frederick began at the heart of the European music scene, where he transitioned from a concert photographer (Queen, Iron Maiden, Metallica,...) into a specialized illustrator, collaborating with the legendary André Franquin on the Marsupilami, creating several album covers for bands and most notably creating the iconic "Pumpkin" comic identity for the band Helloween.

As a digital pioneer, he was among the first to integrate early Photoshop techniques into professional art direction, leading visual campaigns for global brands like Marlboro or L&M at agencies such as Leo Burnett. This blend of traditional draftsmanship and technical innovation eventually led him to found his own creative studio, Hypnotized where he created sophisticated image manipulation for a global clientele and later on Hypno.Luxo Ltd, where he now focuses on high-end interactive web design from his base in Mauritius.
